Bill Ferguson’s journey to President of the Maryland Senate began at Teach for America where his passion for educational equity evolved from educator to advocate. President Ferguson was at the helm of the General Assembly when the legislature adjourned early, for the first time since the Civil War, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. As the state’s budget deficit deepens and legislative priorities in health, education and commerce compete for resources, join us in a conversation with President Ferguson as he puts his collaboration and negotiation skills to the test toward the goal of leading our state to prosperity.
