Transforming Baltimore by developing and connecting those who lead

Founded through the vision of the Greater Baltimore Committee in 1983, The Leadership is an independent, not-for-profit organization committed to transforming Baltimore by strengthening and connecting the region’s leaders.

Since 1984, we have annually offered a 9-month experiential civic leadership program. Over 2,000 Baltimoreans have graduated from The Leadership, including many whose names are widely recognizable as impactful leaders in local nonprofit, corporate and government sectors.

The Leadership is a non-partisan organization that does not take political positions and will not work toward specific policy objectives. We seek to serve as a welcoming, inclusive, and neutral convener.
