David used his construction savvy to help Maisha navigate the government grant process and built a new wheelchair ramp for her pharmacy. Jay expanded a peer consulting model from the Leadership program that enabled his cohort to lend their voices around Maisha challenges, resulting in a planning document she still uses today. Maisha McCoy

After suffering a devastating loss of her pharmacy as a result of the 2015 uprising, Maisha was left with many challenges. Through her Leadership experience, she built a dynamic network of connections that helped her restore her business, building structure, and community relations, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
